How much does a consultation cost?

The first consultation costs 300 dirhams. Follow-up consultations (post-operative care, check-ups) are free for 21 days after the operation, then charged 300 dirhams.

Is the consultation covered in case of a work accident?

Yes. Consultations for work accidents are free for the patient: they are covered directly by the insurance.

What should I bring to my consultation?
  • The letter from your doctor, if he or she referred you.
  • All documents related to the reason for your visit: blood test results, ultrasound, X-rays, CT scan, MRI…
  • Your prescription: the medication you take is essential information.

Please be on time: you will usually be seen at the scheduled time.

Can surgery costs be covered by my health insurance?

Surgical procedures are charged according to the official nomenclature of professional procedures (Social Security rates). A quote and a confidential note are given to you at the end of the consultation so that you can request coverage from your insurer, according to your policy.

PRP & injections

What is PRP (platelet-rich plasma)?

PRP is a platelet concentrate obtained by centrifuging a sample of the patient’s own blood, which removes the other blood components (red and white blood cells). Thanks to its growth factors, PRP has healing properties. This technique has been used at the practice for about 10 years.

How is a PRP injection performed and how many sessions are needed?
  • The injection is performed under local anesthesia and ultrasound guidance.
  • For osteoarthritis of the knee, hip or shoulder, the injection is intra-articular.
  • For ligament and tendon injuries, PRP is injected directly into the injured area.
  • The number of injections depends on the results: 1 to 3, spaced 2 weeks to 1 month apart.
Do you offer injections for osteoarthritis or sciatica?

Yes. Ultrasound-guided injections are offered for osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, spine, shoulder and wrist, as well as for acute and chronic lumbosciatica. The examination is performed with an ultrasound machine, which allows a precise procedure.

Arthroscopy

Which procedures are performed by arthroscopy?
  • Knee: meniscal suture and ligament reconstruction (ACL, PCL, LCL and MCL).
  • Wrist: suture of the scapholunate ligament and the triangular ligament.

Patients are usually operated on as day-case surgery, under regional anesthesia.

The practice treats traumatic and non-traumatic conditions of the bones, joints, tendons and ligaments, including:

  • orthopedic and surgical treatment of fractures and dislocations;
  • tendon, muscle and nerve injuries;

Ilizarov method

What is the Ilizarov method and when is it used?

The Ilizarov method relies on a circular external fixator. It notably allows gradual bone lengthening and bone transport to reconstruct bone loss. Dr. Kader Yettefti Ali was trained in this method in Saint Petersburg (Russia).

The clinical cases published on the website show, for example, its use for an infected femoral nonunion, a tibial bone defect or a neglected clubfoot. Each situation is assessed during the consultation.
